Christmas Concert 2009

The Christmas concert season has officially started! Congratulations to the cast of twenty two students that will be doing speaking parts this year! The theme is Santa's Holiday Hoedown! Sure to be a blast! More info about this year's concert to come! Keep checking!

Remembrance Ceremony

Another Year Come to an End!

Can you believe it? We are at the end of another fantastic year of music making! Thank you to all of the students for their hard work and dedication in Kelsey Community School's music program over this past year. Thank you to the parents for your continued support in our program! It has been a blast teaching this year, and looking foward to another great year when we all return to school in September! Start looking for some "country" clothing because next Christmas concert we'll be having a hoedown! See you in September!!!

Grade 5 Fiddling Classes

Grade 5 Fiddling Classes have begun!! Advanced class on Mondays at 4:00, beginner class on Wednesdays at 4:00.

Grade 4 St. Paul's Performance

While another year of making music is almost coming to a close, the grade four students will be performing at St. Paul's Residence on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10:00a.m. They will be leaving the school on foot at approximately 9:45a.m. The grade four teachers would appreciate any parents willing to volunteer. Please meet us at the school by 9:30a.m. Should the weather conditions be poor, the rain date will be June 9, 2009. Thanks for your continued support of our music program!

School Musical

Just to remind everyone that our school musical, "Gotta Be Jazz" will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 7p.m.

Musical Events Coming Soon!

It has been a very busy season for music!! There are several upcoming musical events that will be taking place over the next two months. Music festival, school musical, and Music Monday. Information to come so please keep checking back!

Grade 4 Fiddling

Grade four's have the opportunity to do afterschool fiddling on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Classes will begin towards the end of January/beginning of February, once the winter weather conditions improve. I do not want any students having to walk home in extreme windchills. In case of cancellations, please set up a back up plan for your child in case our class needs to be cancelled due to the weather. More information to come for all of the interested grade four's. Permission forms will be sent out to students at the beginning of January.

Congratulations to everyone for all of their hard work and dedication to this year's Christmas concert! It was an absolute blast! Now on to the next project: our Spring Musical! Time to pull out those old zoot suits and classic dresses because we are going to be heading to the swing era!! More information to come!! Date of musical to be held towards the end of April!
